While studying her Masters in Ecological Buildings & Biocities at IAAC Institute of Advanced Architecture of Catalonia, Moni was a part of a full scale solar greenhouse prototype amongst other students. This was completed in Fall 2021 while living in Valldaura Labs within the Collserola Forest, Barcelona, Spain.

Our goal was to design and build a fully functional greenhouse using glass and locally sourced and harvested timber. Oriented to be able to collect the most sufficient solar rays while keeping as cool and circulated. The system within the greenhouse allows the extension of the growing cycle already in full swing on the property.

All the necessary lighting for the maximum yield in production was carefully crafted into the wood structure making use of hiding cables, space and for aesthetic cleanliness. Powered by the solar panels and with the most leading technology, the lighting is driven to adapt its color spectrum right from your phone.
